Hey y’all,

Just a quick update to say that my play ALL THE NATALIE PORTMANS will be having its world premiere in MCC Theatre’s 2019-2020 season! It will be directed by Kate Whoriskey who’s been with the play since last summer at the 2018 Sundance Theatre Lab, and I can’t wait to see what we continue to build together!

Also, below you will find a peek at some of my favorite production photos from my Cherry Lane Mentor Project production of THE CLIMB which closed on April 13, 2019. So freaking proud of the work I did with my brilliant director Jenna Worsham and my insanely talented cast: Erin Anderson, Sharlene Cruz, Alex Hurt, and Renika Williams.

Hey peeps,

A bit late on this one, but still oh so proud to report that I’ve been chosen as a 18-19 Mentor Project fellow at Cherry Lane Theater. My mentor is Martyna Majok, and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to work with her on the THE CLIMB. We’ll spend the next few months working on the script, casting, and then going into production for a two-week run at Cherry Lane. I am delighted to be getting my first workshop production in NYC and hope it’s a sign of more to come!

You can learn more and buy tickets here! You should also be sure to check out the other two Mentor Project shows. Kareem Lucas and Matthew Paul Olmos round out this years fellows, so I couldn’t be part of a more talented crew.

Til the next bit of good news!

What’s up peeps! It’s been so long since I posted, but the past few months have been such a whirlwind.

In July, my play THIRST had a run at The Contemporary American Theater festival to some really wonderful reviews (see here and here). My cast was stellar, my director Adrienne Campbell-Holt found a beautifully embodied version of the play, and Shepherdstown, West Virginia proved to be my new favorite small town. Can’t say enough how grateful I am to Ed Herendeen and my CATF family for investing in this play and giving me my first ever production! Here are some outtakes:

After returning from WV, I actually took a job as staff writer on a new FOX television series that airs this January! It’s big sci-fi epic with some big emotional storytelling that I can’t wait to share with the world. I’ve so enjoyed being in a writers room with my coworkers, and am amped to soon return to NYC and hit the pavement in the theater world once again! Here’s a fun trailer for our show THE PASSAGE though for you to check out:

Aaannndd those are all of my updates!

Til’ next time,

Great news!

My play ALL THE NATALIE PORTMANS has been chosen for the 2018 Sundance Theatre Lab in Marrakech, Morocco! I'll be joined there by director Kate Whoriskey (who I'm delighted to work with for the first time) as well as an amazing cohort of artists from the US and MENA region.  May is going to a great month filled with lots of sunshine, lots of writing, and hopefully some laughs!
